Welcome to Carlsen Studio — the creative home of Jake and Christina Carlsen, a husband-and-wife artist team who live and work in Newport, on the Oregon Coast. Jake photographs the Pacific Northwest's coastlines, forests, and wildlife using vintage film cameras and darkroom techniques. Christina paints coastal animals and seascapes in watercolor, with warmth and a sense of humor. Two artists, two mediums, one coastline they both call home.
